Gracie Chen

Hometown: Seattle, Washington

Hey everybody! I’m Gracie and I am a current freshman at Wheaton College studying anthropology and Christian formation and ministry with Bible theology. I am originally from Seattle but I grew up in Taiwan as a missionary kid for ten years. I love going to swing in parks in the sun, spending individual time with friends, and finding new music. So excited to meet you all at MSCE this summer!


Lance Choong

Hometown: Penang, Malaysia

Hi everyone, my name is Lance! I’m a recent graduate from CWRU in Cleveland, OH and am excited to join the MSCE team this summer. Fun fact, this will be my first time in Taiwan. In my free time, I like to weight lift and play guitar. Looking forward to meeting everyone!


Ginger Hu

Hello! My name is Ginger Hu and I am currently a first year Human Biology student at UC San Diego. I am originally from the Bay Area, California and spend free time aside from school crocheting, reading, or fellowshipping with friends. I am so excited to be joining the MSCE English Camp for the first time this summer!


Matthew Moses FuQun Huang

Hi everyone! My name is Matthew, I’m Matthew, an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) and student in San Diego, California. I am currently working towards transferring into a four-year school for my bachelors and then hopefully medical school! I just recently came back from an extended gap-year in Taiwan. So I can’t wait to be back!! I hope I can connect with all the participants at MSCE, and learn and share more about our different cultures. My hobbies include guitar, reading, and backpacking with my friends. Looking forward to meeting everyone! 


Jasmine Jin

Hi everyone! My name is Jasmine and I am going to be a fourth year in the fall at UCSD, majoring in human biology and clinical psychology. I am applying to medical school this year and hope to be a pediatrician someday. In my free time, I like to go out to eat with my friends, play games, and watch TV shows. I’ve never been to Taiwan and this is my first time joining MSCE, so I am excited to meet you all and explore Taiwan together :D.

Hi everyone, I am Kinan, I am super excited to join this camp. I am a nurse educator currently studying in Taipei for a Master’s degree in Nurse-Midwifery. I hope to enrich this camp with a nursing perspective. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, watching movies, and traveling. Looking forward to getting connected with new friends around the world.

I haven’t been back to Taiwan since COVID and definitely have missed being back a lot. In my free time I like to cook and bake, and I’m always down for karaoke! Hi there, everyone! My name is Joshua, and I can’t wait to meet you all this summer! I am currently a high school senior and plan on being a bio major in college. Some of my favorite things to do in my free time include fishing, playing tennis, playing electric bass, and drawing comic strips. My name is Meachelle (Me-shell) and I am a first-year medical student at UCLA! I enjoy listening to music, playing volleyball, watching K-dramas, and going on nature walks. I have never traveled to Asia before so I am so excited and thankful that you will all be a part of my first visit! Aaron Michael Truong

Hi everyone! I’m Aaron, a college student at the University of California, San Diego. I’ve never been to Taiwan, so I’m super excited for the new experience! In my free time, I love playing the piano and violin, and sports like basketball and volleyball. I also enjoy movies, and more recently playing chess. Really looking forward to meeting and getting to know everyone!


Jocelyn Wu (吳貞依)

Hometown: San Jose, California

Hi all, my name is Jocelyn! I currently wear many hats, including helping out with the MMCLCMM Center as an event coordinator, an English tutor, a freelance graphic designer, and a social media manager for my home church located in the Bay Area. I have been splitting my time in Taiwan and the States for the past year and a half. When I’m not working these fun jobs, you can probably find me looking for a new coffee shop (my go-to is an Americano), dancing at a concert (indie, worship, pop, alternative, r&b, K-pop, you name it), going through the children’s book section for inspiration, or traveling with friends and family. I’m really honored to be able to join MSCE for the first time this year, hope to get to know everyone and enjoy summer together!


Samuel Wu

Hello! My name is Samuel Wu and I go to Oviedo High School in Florida. I am originally from Taiwan. I enjoy playing basketball and working out.  My favorite NBA team is the Miami Heat.  I look forward to this camp.
